The image appeared in SFX 32 and 38.

Each year SFX had a Readers' Award for various categories of Science Fiction. They wanted something they could use as the SF equivalent of an Oscar statuette.

I was asked to make the 'Robbie' in the syle of the Forbidden Planet Robot, but not so much that it breached copyright.

   

Recipients of the awards recieved a certificate featuring the Robbie. I've seen photos of a few famous people holding their certificates including George Lucas.
